Boston Center for Memory provides diagnostic and treatment services to patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and conducts clinical research on emerging diagnostic techniques and treatments for these diseases.
Responsibilities for the research associate include performing neuropsychological evaluation of patients with Alzheimer’s disease both in clinical and research settings, assisting clinical research coordinators in conducting research studies of new drugs to treat Alzheimer’s disease, and assisting with data collection and management. There is also the opportunity to conduct independent research on various aspects of diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease that may result in authorship on papers and presentations.
This position is ideal for college graduates intending to pursue graduate work in clinical or cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, or medicine. A two-year commitment is preferred. For those interested in a long-term position,appropriate career opportunities also exist. The research associate will have the opportunity to work a treatment/research team with Neurologists, Geriatricians, Neuropsychologists, and Clinical Psychologists.
