Pharmacy Research Intern
Sabrina Hayden is a Pharmacy Research Intern at Boston Center for Memory (BCM). In this role, Sabrina will learn how to conduct investigational drug infusion mixing and coordination of clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease and other related disorders under the direction of Dr. Linh Huynh.
Prior to BCM, Sabrina worked as a Lab Research Intern for Avastus located in Cambridge, MA. While there, she worked in pre-clinical trials for major pharmaceutical companies focusing on other indications including cancer, diabetes, and depression.
Sabrina is a 5th year graduate student at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) obtaining her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree with an expected graduation date in 2021. Following graduation, she plans on pursuing a Masters of Business at the university. She is a Public Relations Officer in Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) and has lead multiple organizational meetings including Emerging World in Gene Therapy with speakers in attendance from Takeda, Biogen, and Pfizer. She is currently collaborating with Professor Priefer at MCPHS with a focus on small molecule design for the disruption of amyloid plaque formation.
Sabrina has a strong interest in learning more about Alzheimer's disease and focusing on investigating newer treatments aimed at slowing progression.
